The stainless steel battery box is extremely light and gives your BMW a clear view. It is mounted directly under the gearbox and thus lowers the centre of gravity even further. A clear view through the frame triangle gives the BMW a wiry look. The battery box is designed to hold a lithium ion battery with either 14Ah or 20Ah. Both batteries do their job without any problems, even with high compaction. The batteries have a weight of 1000g, respectively 1200g. The weight saving is more than 10 kg! A lithium ion battery can withstand six times as many charge cycles as a conventional battery. The self-discharge rate is only 5 percent per month. In the long run a worthwhile purchase.
